Kushunda Campbell is a seasoned real estate professional, construction manager, and developer based in Chicago with 10 years of industry experience. She recently launched DevelopHer, a hands-on program designed to empower women to break into the male-dominated construction industry.
Through mentorship, practical training, and community support, Kushunda is equipping women with the skills and confidence to excel in trades like framing, drywall, and electrical work. While DevelopHer is a new initiative, it reflects her lifelong passion for uplifting women and creating opportunities for growth and success.

With a background in clinical research, I’ve always had a passion for problem-solving and hands-on work. That passion has extended beyond the lab into the world of real estate and construction. I currently own investment property and operate a short-term rental that serves traveling doctors and nurses, blending my healthcare roots with hospitality and property management. My interest in construction stems from the fulfillment of creating something out of nothing and the empowerment that comes from being able to fix and build things myself. Whether it’s restoring a space or enhancing its function, I value the ability to make improvements without always relying on costly outside help.
